- The links at the top of the page populated with area specific information, in a mini-directory format
- Weekly posts outlining local sporting events from Virginia Tech, Radford, the local high schools, and other area teams
- Regular posts with information about area concert, shows, and art displays
- Regular posts with information about movies playing at The Lyric, on campus, and at the Christiansburg Theater
- Detailed information about Town and Campus events
- As needed posts for fund raising events for charities…on my radar now is the Hungry Hokies Fast-a-thon
- Seasonal posts about activities in the New River Valley…hiking, tubing, sledding, etc
- If, after completing the above list, I still have free time…then I’ll try to include special events/specials at the local businesses, restaurants, and bars. I make no promises on this one!
The focus will attempt to focus on cheap or free things to do whenever possible. Blacksburg, Radford, Christiansburg, and sometimes even Roanoke/Salem are fair game to be considered local. However, anything that I think will be a benefit to the readers will make it through my brain filter.
I’ll have a “tip line” email address setup so you can let me know about events and activities I may not already be aware of (especially good causes). Although it usually doesn’t seem like it, there’s always something to do in Blacksburg if you know where to go and have a good enough idea.
